- You won’t have to explain twice. The person who answers knows the practice and can answer coverage and preparation questions on the same call.
- Nothing is discussed elsewhere. Calls are taken in a small private office, not a call center.
What happens when you call
Office visits and diagnostic testing are billed to Medicare and most insurance, and your benefits are verified before the visit.
- You describe the situation, not a diagnosis. What’s happening, what you’ve already tried, and what has changed. That’s the whole of it — you don’t need to arrive with the medical vocabulary.
- Coverage is answered on the same call. The person who answers knows the practice, so questions about insurance and about how to prepare are settled then and there rather than referred onward.
- You’re put on the schedule directly. Our own office books you — in the Maitland office, or, for patients in Florida, as a private video consultation. Whether a diagnostic study is worth doing is Dr. Carroll’s call, made after he has heard your situation — not a step you clear on the way in.
